speaker
Charlene
Keenan is an experienced leader in the charity sector in Northern Ireland and
the current CEO of Destined Limited the North West’s largest Disability Service
Provider. Charlene has worked in the disability sector for over 20 years and
brings a breadth of valuable experience with a strong track record of growing
scale and impact at over 30 charities and organisations both locally and
nationally.
Charlene
also has notable experience in non-executive positions for charities and social
enterprises and has spearheaded campaigns supporting employment opportunities
for people with disabilities & mental health issues. Over the last 10 years
Charlene has been instrumental in the establishment of an array of successful
social enterprises and is currently leading an initiative which will see the
development of a Social Enterprise Hub in the Nort West of Ireland. Charlene is
passionate about advocating for the rights of people with disabilities and
mental health problems in Ireland. She is a recognised thought leader within
her profession and regularly contributes to articles, podcasts, roundtables,
and speaks at events across Ireland and the UK.
