‘Coming home from a long day at work to an empty nest is heartbreaking, yes, I am struggling with empty nest syndrome, a mother of two and both have moved on to their next chapter, I feel like I should be enjoying my freedom and spending quality time now with my husband, but not only am I dealing with the grief of my empty nest, I am also in the throes of menopause. I honestly feel like I have lost my identity, the kids were a massive part of who I was and now I am finding difficulty in even recognising myself. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?
